“And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.” – 1 Corinthians 15:13-14
Because He lives. Three of the most important words in the Christian faith. The foundational truth of the Gospel and the reason we can still celebrate, even in a season of uncertainty. As Christians, all of our hope is in Christ’s resurrection.
Because He lives—
My faith is not in vain.
My hope is not in vain.
The race I’m running is not in vain.
The words I’m writing are not in vain.
Because He lives—
His presence surrounds me.
His peace secures me.
His power strengthens me.
His promises sustain me.
When Jesus died on the cross, hope went to the grave with Him. But His resurrection restored and secured hope—for life both here and in eternity. His grave is empty. And mine will be, too. With so much confusion and suffering running rampant in our world, these lyrics felt more powerful and comforting than ever:
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, He holds the future,
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.
If your hope has been stripped away, or your faith is feeling fragile—be encouraged.
For He is a God of restoration.
And He is risen.
