About Grace Waves
For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. - John 1:16
If you’ve ever stood on the shore and watched the waves come in, you know that they are always constant. So, too, are the waves of God’s grace in our lives. Grace Waves is a series of devotionals and testimonies written by Jordan Roten, co-founder of Kingdom Overflow Ministries, focused on sharing reminders of his undeserved, unmerited, and unending grace.
Grace Waves is the official blog of Kingdom Overflow Ministries.
About Jordan
Jordan is living proof that God has a sense of humor. She grew up determined to avoid microphones, stages, and anything that looked remotely like public speaking—so naturally, she became a writer, speaker, and ministry leader.
In 2017, she started a blog “just for fun,” and now over 16,000 people on Facebook follow along. By 2020, she and her husband decided to combine two things most people don’t normally put together—discipleship and construction—and launched a ministry where power tools and prayer requests go hand in hand. Their adventures have ranged from going viral for giving out “Free Mom and Dad Hugs” on a college campus (yes, that was them) to making national news for their Christian Skilled Trades Summer Camp, where teens learn to build tiny houses and their faith.
When she’s not leading Bible studies in her living room, hosting worship nights, or wrangling teenagers with nail guns, Jordan can be found accidentally agreeing to speak at events she swore she wasn’t qualified for. Her heart is simple: unite the local church, serve neighbors, and say “yes” when Jesus asks, whether that means handing out hugs, grabbing a hammer, or picking up a microphone she never thought she’d hold.
