For God So Loved the World

If there was one truth I could pass along to everyone that I come into contact with, it would be this:

For God SO LOVED the world.

I wish I could tell my children that they live in a world where open wounds are always met with open hearts and cries for help never fall on deaf ears. But that’s not a promise I can make. Too many people are hurting right now because they are living in a world that won’t fight for them.

But God will always fight for you with a never-ending, never-changing love. This wounded world is not the one He wanted for you. The pain, and sorrow, and brokenness you have experienced were never His desires for you. Even before sin and darkness entered into this world, He had a plan to rescue you from them.
And that is why Jesus came.

Too often, people claim the name of Jesus while ignoring the ways of Jesus. We get it wrong. We misrepresent Him. Because Jesus didn’t come to affirm the self-righteous or pat the back of the religious.

He came to bring good news to the poor.
To heal the brokenheared.
To declare freedom to the captives.
To recover sight to the blind.
To deliver the oppressed.

He came to preach the Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven.
He came for the joy of seeing His people forgiven, redeemed, and restored.

He came because God so loved His broken, sinful people that He couldn’t let them continue living in a world that couldn’t save them.

“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

T̶h̶e̶ ̶e̶n̶d̶.
The beginning.
